{4.29.2013} anything goes today…

SPaRKS!

It is a fun day with the SPARKS challenge from Paper Smooches.
ANYTHING GOES!!!

Anything Goes PSS

 week 5

This is a great week to JUST PLAY!!!  The Party Posse is a new stamp set for me, though it is “vintage” Paper Smooches.  I just adore that little hamster.  Who knew a hamster could be so cute???  He is colored with some Copics and then popped up on the card.  I cut the balloon out with my Cameo and then did a little surgery on the hamster to be able to thread the balloon string out his little hand.  So adorable.

Check out the other girls sharing their SPARKS cards this week.

{4.25.2013} Unity Thursday + Cameo file FREEBIE

Whoop Whoop!

I just LOVE when I get to hop on Thursday’s with Unity.
It is my favorite day for sure.
All the action starts on the Unity blog.

I am using the current KIT OF THE MONTH today.

Eeek, fun right?  The stamps are some I designed as well.  I loved the idea of geocaching for a card theme.  Lots of friends I know have husbands or kids that like to go on these little adventures.  It is quite a trendy theme right now as well.  The Here and There paper pad had the PERFECT matching paper.

I have a little freebie for you as well.
I created that card base for the Cameo and I’m going to share it with you.
It is available in both .studio and svg files.
Just click on the picture and download the file you need.

CAS(E) this SKETCH!

CTS is a challenge blog to inspire you to create a clean and simple card based on a fun sketch. Here is my inspiration for this week’s challenge and brand new sketch.

When I saw that little pocket tag in the sketch, I couldn’t wait to make some sort of an interactive card. There is no better way to do that than with my Cameo. I searched through my files and saw this fun gift box card where the top pulls out. I shrunk it down and placed it on the front of the card.

Heehee, fun right?

I love how the top pulls up to reveal the little message inside. This is such a fun sketch, I can’t wait to see what everyone does with it.

Make sure you hop over to the CTS blog for challenge rules and a blog full of inspiration. The design team girls are so talented and have the most fabulous cards to share.

{2.3.2013} a happy heart

It is Sunday and that means Unity Stamp Company has a
BRAND spankin’ new Stamp of the Week.

Don’t you love it?
Those sweet cutie patootie hearts.
You can use them all together or separate one out like I did.
I have a little tag or lunch box note using today’s stamp of the week.

If those little hearts don’t make your loved one smile nothing will.
They sure make my little heart happy.

The tag and sun was cut out with my Cameo.  I used my square punch to create the sentiment banner.  I had a leftoever scrap from that punch and noticed it looked like a little tab.  So I recreated that with the striped patterened paper and used that to point out the smiley heart.  I’m going to have to remember that!!!

Unity Stamp of the Week

Be coooool!

We are Hip Hopping along today with the Unity design team.  If you didn’t start at the beginning of the hop, make sure you head over to the Unity blog.

I’m so excited to finally break into the kit of the month for January!!!
There are so many great images to play with.
Don’t you just love that about Unity?
There are so many different styles in one kit, but they all just seem to work together.

I’m featuring my cool owl today.  I love his 80’s glasses.
Throw in the fun arrow border plus the xoxo tag and we have a super cool card.
The sentiment is meant to be for valentines, but I just singled out the ‘be cool’ part.
Just to be cool.

The talk bubble was created with my Silhouette Cameo.
I can’t believe I forgot to save it or I would have shared it.
The little green arrow was singled out from the border as well.
Isn’t it cute?
