{4.25.2013} Unity Thursday + Cameo file FREEBIE

Whoop Whoop!

I just LOVE when I get to hop on Thursday’s with Unity.
It is my favorite day for sure.
All the action starts on the Unity blog.

I am using the current KIT OF THE MONTH today.

Eeek, fun right?  The stamps are some I designed as well.  I loved the idea of geocaching for a card theme.  Lots of friends I know have husbands or kids that like to go on these little adventures.  It is quite a trendy theme right now as well.  The Here and There paper pad had the PERFECT matching paper.

I have a little freebie for you as well.
I created that card base for the Cameo and I’m going to share it with you.
It is available in both .studio and svg files.
Just click on the picture and download the file you need.

{4.11.2013} Unity Thursday

It is Unity THURSDAY…
let the STAMPING and SHOPPING begin.
You are hopping along with the design team today, if not,
all the action starts on the Unity blog.

I always get giddy with a new AngieGirl release.
There are TWO new kits being released today and they are darling.
I’m using AbbyGirl in her adorable chevron skirt.
Here is a fun fact… at least 3 of the girls on the design team have a skirt like this.

I’m a simple girl… so this little lady was cut her away from the background.  I love the option of having the girl alone or with the easel.  Aren’t options fabulous?  I’m also in need of birthday cards.  Do you have a ton of April birthday?  I sure do.  And I always forget until I need one right away and then realize I best get moving.  I’ve combined the sentiment from a couple different sets to create my own.

{3.28.2013} Unity Thursday

Yay for Unity

Did you know it was Unity Thursday?
Of course you did.
The design team is hopping today
and all the action starts on the Unity blog.

details at Unity

I didn’t get to play along with the Fashionista release last week,
so I’m featuring THIS trendy girl today.

I’m a huge fan of Project Runway.
These trendy girls remind me of the sketches the designers make before tackling their challenges.
Meet Roxanne, she is a diamond super star.  Or at least she thinks so.  Lol.  She is strutting’ her stuff and shining bright.

She was colored with Copics, trimmed out and popped up on some super fun Glitz papers.
I’m jumping on the sequined band wagon.  I really hadn’t planned on it, but over the weekend I went to a crop with some new friends.  I had to pull out my roller and bags for cropping from storage.  Inside I found one of my original storage containers that contained sequins.  Totally vintage from early 2000.  I was trendy back then and didn’t even know it.  Lol.

{3.14.2013} post no. 2 – Unity Thursday

**This is my second post for the day… please scroll down one for my CAS(E) this Sketch card.**

If you are looking for some Unity Stamp Company cards, then you are in the RIGHT place.
The design team is hopping today along with 3 special ladies.  They played along in the Unity {be inspired} Challenge and were asked to showcase their amazing talent with us today.  Didn’t they rock it???
Hope you left Brigit, Laurel and Heather lots of love.

Lots of fun stuff going on today.
New stamps and a fabulous promo.

AND a Unity hop.
I just love Thursdays.

All the action starts on the Unity blog.

We are kicking off the new {be inspired} challenge today.
Here is a peek at it.

Lots to love right???
I made 2 cards for this new challenge.

Did you see this week’s Stamp of the Week?
So, super cute!
I’m using the sketch from the challenge and 2 of the colors.
I popped up the stamped panel over one of my favorite backgrounds stamps – Hearts of Old.

– and –

I had to use the BRAND NEW monthly sentiment kit.
Can you believe this amazing kit is only $10 for this month only???
I’m using the colors again from this month’s challenge.  I think I got them all except the pink.
I forgot that one.  Oops.  I really meant to include it somewhere and forgot.

The flowers were colored with two colors of ink… first the yellow and then I used the corner of the orange ink to dab a little on top of the yellow before stamping.  The top two flowers are popped up as well.  To make my multicolored flowers easier to stamp, I cut away the leaves.

Gasp… I know.  Some people can’t handle cutting their stamps.  But if it makes it easier for me to stamp in different colors, I’m not shy about bringing out my scissors.  It works so nice too.  🙂

**for my CAS(E) this Sketch post, click HERE**

Whoop Whoop!

It is THE best day of the week in blogland!!!
Big happenings in the Unity Stamp Company world.
BLOG HOP with the Unity Design team and
GREAT, AMAZING promotions going on.

All the action starts on the Unity blog and continues through the design team blogs.

I am using the Unity {be inspired} Challenge for inspiration today.
Have you played along yet?
Well you most definitely should!
Such great ideas below.

LOVE those colors.

All of these images can be found in February’s kit of the month {let love grow}.
They are so amazing and lots of great ways to combine all the stamps in this kit.

I started out with that amazing wood plank background.
GORGEOUS, right?
Then layered the flowers over the top in the challenge colors: red and teal.
beautiful.
I finished off with a tag and the perfect sentiment – praying for you.

Next up,
don’t forget Unity released their exclusive wood stamps
for St. Patrick’s Day.
LOVE them.

I’m using the LARGE shamrock with the sentiment from the label stamp.
Just a little masking and it can be separated out.
To give this simple design a little something fun,
I used an X-acto knife to cut out 3 of the leaves and pop them up from behind.
Neat-o, right?

{2.14.2013} post no. 2 – unity hip hop

**you can find my CAS(E) this Sketch! post HERE**

feeling the LOVE today

Yep, our favorite day is here again. Time to Hip Hop with the Unity design team. If you didn’t start at the beginning of the hop, make sure you head over to the Unity blog. I’m sharing love cards today. Well, it is Valentine’s Day don’tcha know.

AND…

We have big exciting news today!!! We have REVAMPED our challenges into the AMAZING

Unity {be inspired} Challenge.

With our new challenge you have 3 sources of inspiration. You can do one or any combination of all three. For my card, I focused on the card sketch for today.

I’m using some of my fave stamps… washi this love and owl be yours forever.I’ve been on a run of just stamping lately. I also love to stamp on patterned paper. The patterned paper gives the card little something extra that plain cardstock does not. All the while we are still clean and simple. As long as the patterns are simple and soft it won’t compete with the stamped images.

We also have some HAPPY HOUR fun this weekend too.

HIP HOP COMMENT PRIZE:Don’t forget to leave a comment on each blog today. We’ll be giving away 3 prizes from comments left on the design team’s blogs.
