{1.28.2011} an EIC and FWF kind of day

It is my favorite day!

I just love spending the day vising fabulously creative blogs with my Unity peeps.
And thanks so much for taking the time to stop by mine today.

The Etsy Inspired Challenge this week featured my good friend’s Etsy shop – Nanny’s Room.  So, I just had to play along since Jeanne inspires me all the time.  You should definitely check out her SHOP.  She has such beautiful wearable art.

My inspiration came from this item:

And I had the PERFECT Unity stamps in mind.  First, I used the large flower from the My Dear kit and the adorable hummingbird from the April 2010 KOM.

Jeanne is one fabulous artist and her watercolor work is amazing.
I am not.
But, I decided to try my extremely unskilled hand at watercolor too.  I have no idea what the heck I’m doing but somehow it worked out.

And, this card has become ONE of my favorites!

I am also submitting it to the Wee Memories Challenge since this week is a free for all.  It does have some coloring in it, so it is semi-fitting for the sponsor.

I have a Create a Card Video for today as well if you’d like to watch along as this card was created.

PLUS

I am bloggin’ on the Ippity blog today as well.  Here is a little peek.
That “LOVE” day is coming up soon and I have a little something you could create.

ETA: Yay, this card was a winner at the EIC challenge and an honorable mention at Wee Memories!  I’m so honored!

stamps: My Dear, April 2010 KOM {Unity Stamp Co}
tools: watercolor pencils
