{3.23.2012} final take two day and friends with flair

Take Two Week: Day FIVE

And so the party must come to an end!  This is our last day for this year’s Take Two week.  Again, it was super amazing and I have to thank my friend, Emily, for sharing this week with me.  I know she had a ton going on and yet still found time for Take Two.  Thanks girlie.

And a great big thank you to Angela at Unity Stamp Company!  No one is as generous as Unity and Angela.  She is the heart and soul of this company and you feel it every time you purchase or ink up a stamp.  Love ya girl.

Ready to see what kit we are using today?

Emily and I are focusing on the clocks and dress bust to use for our cards today.  The clocks have not seen ink in my set yet, so I was excited to start with them first.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them.  They come linked together, but I wanted to use them separately.  I cut them apart and randomly inked them on a circle of white cardstock.  The saying is just perfect… gotta love Unity for their sentiments.  The arrow is hand drawn.  I really love arrows.  This one is to mimics the clock theme.

Up next, we are using the bust image from the kit.  I felt like it needed a party dress… sort of a hodgepodge party style.  Some fun papers and lots of patterned paper layering going on here.  The saying is from THIS kit.  That little bit of lace is from a strip of clothing I cut off to save the buttons from a pair of pajamas.  That wasn’t its intended use, but the party dress needed a little trim.  I was thinking the dress would look pretty cool with a jean jacket of sorts, so I threw some denim patterned paper in the back.

Thank you all again for joining us this week.  It has been super fun and you ALL made it extra special!!!

Please pop on over to Emily’s blog for her final cards too!  I’m excited to see her amazing cards.

Don’t forget, we are giving away ONE of each stamp set we used this week (that is 5 sets) and 2 of my watermarks (I’ve also added a few new designs if you haven’t checked them out recently).  You have until Saturday, March 24 at 11:59pm EST to leave a comment on each post this week and we’ll announce the winners on Monday, March 26, 2012.

It is also Friends with Flair on the Unity blog.  So head back over there to see all the fabby entries.

{3.21.12} take two day three…

Take Two Week: Day THREE

shine, shine, shine

Wow, this is going by so FAST!  I can’t believe we are half done.

Thank you all for your amazing comments.  They mean the world to me and I am sure Emily feels the same.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Today, we are both using the shine, shine, shine set from {ippity} by Unity.

I have used this set TONS and STILL love it.  I just love that hanging light bulb.  I paired it with some new alpha letters I recently ordered.  LOVE them too.  I wanted a crazy haphazard placement of letters to go with the sentiment.  I printed the ‘I just remembered’ on the cardstock with my printer before I got started on the card.  A little hybrid action going on.  🙂

I have a feeling Emily has one seriously clever card up today.
I’m rushing over right now to see, want to come along???

Take Two Week: Day TWO

Oh my goodness… Emily ROCKED that Crappy Day set!!! She is one smart cookie.  I just adore her creative mind.
Thank you all for joining us again for this year’s event. Good to see some old and new friends.

Not only are Emily and I using Unity stamps but also {ippity} by Unity!  I adore these stamps and the chicks who sell them.  You can buy {ippity} on the WEBSITE along with Unity.  Easy peasy, but these chicks promote and do their own home sales too.  So when you purchase {ippity} you support THESE women.

Did you know before I moved over to the Unity design team, I was lucky to get my start on the {ippity} team?  I was over the moon excited when I got the email to ask me to join the team.  Eeeek, it still makes me giddy.

LOVE this penguin’s attitude!

Hee hee.  He is super fun to color and paper piece too.

Pop on over to Emily’s blog to see what she has with this set today!

{3.8.2012} new Unity

March Release for Unity Stamp Company

Big, Big, BIG release day for Unity and {Ippity}!
Both will be available on the website TODAY!

I am going to focus on the Ippity releases today.

Did you notice the GROOVY bus???
Totally awesome, right?
Want to see the whole kit?

Something Groovy

I couldn’t wait to use this set!  I think it will be great for birthdays… especially for the guys!  This one is for one groovy chick because I couldn’t resist the pink.  Hee hee.  Lots of paper piecing for the peace bus with a little bit of Copic coloring.  I added a little silver Stardust pen to the peace emblem for a little bling.

Look at this sweet set too.

Counts as a Fruit

Soooo sweet.

And this cupcake absolutely counts as a FRUIT!  I used some Copics again to color in the cupcake.  A little rhinestone bling to the cake stand.

I’ve had this red thread forever, but never seem to use it.  Well, today, I needed a little more red for this card and out came the sewing machine and red thread.  I love it.

This is one stunning and yummy cupcake, ahem, fruit!

You can get these plus MORE {ippity} releases HERE.  Just pick your favorite Ippity chick and then add your stamps to your card.  Did you want some Unity too???  Well, you can just add them in too.  BOTH can be ordered at the SAME time!

Did you see this too?

moment by moment

Beautiful right?  I’ll be back tomorrow with some cards from this release too.

{2.9.2012} NEW release

NEW releases

ETA:  I thought I was hopping this week!  Ha.  NOPE.  I got so excited about the new releases I forgot which week I hop.  Giggle.  All the fun starts at Unity blog.  But I still have fun stuff to share.

FUN releases today both from {ippity} and Phyllis Harris.

How cute are these???  I want them all.

And we have some seriously cute {ippity} itty bitties releasing today.

How super funny!  I seriously giggled when I saw this pregnancy test stamp.

And this rainbow heart image is too sweet.  Perfect for coloring or paper piecing.

{1.5.12} hip hop

Hip Hop

How exciting that for our first Hip Hop of the year we have our first {ippity} release this weekend as well!  I’m sharing {ippity} projects today, but you will want to start at the Unity blog to see all the lovely projects by the design team in the hop today.

We have 5 new {ippity} stamps

It was tough to pick the first ones to ink up, but I went with these…

Oh goodness, look at all the purple!  I have been trying to use it more in my projects.  I will admit, it is not my favorite color.  But I know so many who love it.  I was actually thinking about a little girl for this one.  I need some practice on little girl cards.  The cupcakes are too darn SWEET and great fun to color with Copics.

Whoooooooo wouldn’t love this little owl???  He is a paper piecing dream.  The two sentiments he comes with are just down right perfect!

BIG EXCITING CHANGES are coming this year to {ippity}.
Keep an eye on the Unity blog for more details.

Here is the deal… I don’t like resolutions.
I like GOALS.
I know, same thing basically.  But resolutions tend to be forgotten
and there are some craft related dreams I really want to work on.

Thanks for hanging in till the end, this was a long post!
Off you go to Maren’s blog!!!!

‘Like’ my new FACEBOOK page just for my designs.

{12.6.2011} more {ippity}

If you should pop on over to the Unity blog… you will see this card:

Yep, I’m blogging today on the Unity blog.  Many of you probably remember that I got my lucky start on the {ippity} design team before moving over to the Unity DT.  I still have a special spot for these stamps and the girls who sell them.  They are all so sweet and amazing.  The stamps are just as adorable too.  I love this Gingham Christmas Wishes set.  It adds just the right amount of funk and fabulousness to traditional or non-traditional cards.  Super it.

Ippity is ONLY available from an Ippity chick!!!
Same great stamps as Unity, but sold only by these FABULOUS chickadees.
