{8.26.2011} happy Friday

It’s Friday… Friday, Friday.

Happy day my Friends with Flair Unity peeps.

So excited to share some new Unity stamps with you.  I was inspired by the Embellish Magazine embossed flowers color challenge and I am going to let you in on a secret.  This card is SOOOOOO different from my original plan.  Ha.  I started out with the ‘home is where‘ stamp set.  I was just going to put in the corner, use the embossed flower and add the popped up heart too.  NOPE.  Didn’t happen.  Instead, I got this….

I wish I could show you how pitiful it started out.  Ha.  I just couldn’t do it.  So, off in a new direction and I started to add one thing and then layer another and then add some more.  NOT my usual method.  But once I stamped that ‘life is so good‘ itty bitty onto the tag things just started to take on a life on its own.  I colored with a blending pen, I stamped over it with ‘giving it all meaning‘ and finally topped it off with that embossed paper flower embellishment I made.  Whew.  Then I moved on to finish the card and I just kept adding something here, something there.  I ended up using part of my original card too.  It was total craziness but I adore the finished product.  Especially since I was just going to pitch everything in the beginning.

Thanks for stopping by and remember to head back to the Unity blog to visit the rest of the Friends with Flair.

11.1.2010 – Hippity Hop

It is H{ippity} Hop time!!!

This week the fabulous Angie challenged us to create a project with FIBERS and using Ippity stamps for IHHC48.

I used some string as my fiber of choice.  I hand stitched around the Labels 10 die cut, which matches the label from the Seasons of Joy set perfectly.  The saying is from Quotes a la Happy.  This one is my fave!  And the ruffled ribbon, Pyrus papers & button are from Basic Grey.  I sprayed the ruffled ribbon with some Shimmerz Vibez in Hot Fudge to make it a little more vintage looking.  Basic Grey products and Vibez are available from Limelight Papercrafts.

To get my mojo running, I turned to additional challenges to inspire this card!  First, I turned to Embellish Magazine for the colors (green, yellow and rust) and a vintage feel.  And then I used the sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch #91.

Have you heard the NEWS????  The next Ippity release is on

3.08 h{ippity} hop

It is H{ippity} Hop time!!! Makes a Monday so much better because it is a day filled with ippity FUN. Every Monday I’ll have a new post showcasing Ippity stamps.

{supplies: cs – DCWV; pp – Urban Prairie (Basic Grey), stamps – Sweet Thoughts of Spring (Ippity), July 2009 KOM (Unity); ink – Colorbox; ribbon – Michaels; punches – Apron border punch (Fiskars), Corner Chomper; other – Pastel Raspberry liquid pearls, Prismacolor Pencils; sharpie pen}

Spring is definitely coming to Arizona and thanks to all the wonderful winter rain we had it is green and blooming!  A wonderful sight in the desert.

I’m playing along this week with the Embellish Magazine challenge to use pink, green, yellow and peach, PLUS you must use borders.  I’m also submitting to Moxie for their stamping Olympics in the Hi/Thinking of you category.  Doesn’t it look like the little bunny is just saying – hi, I’m thinking of you?

Sweet Thoughts of Spring is a perfect ippity set for the Embellish challenge!  I love all the cute little border stamps in this set.  I used the spring scallop in peach at the bottom of the pop-up center.  I’m in love with this bunny’s belly button.  I put a little Pastel Raspberry Liquid Pearls in the center, so sweet.  For the grass hills I used some Urban Prairie paper.  Both are available from Limelight Papercrafts.  I gave him a little color with some Prismacolor pencils.

Thanks for hopping by! You can get this {Ippity} set HERE as well as all available Ippity stamps!!!!

Woo hoo, who doesn’t love Ippity!?!
