{3.14.2013} post no. 2 – Unity Thursday

**This is my second post for the day… please scroll down one for my CAS(E) this Sketch card.**

If you are looking for some Unity Stamp Company cards, then you are in the RIGHT place.
The design team is hopping today along with 3 special ladies.  They played along in the Unity {be inspired} Challenge and were asked to showcase their amazing talent with us today.  Didn’t they rock it???
Hope you left Brigit, Laurel and Heather lots of love.

Lots of fun stuff going on today.
New stamps and a fabulous promo.

AND a Unity hop.
I just love Thursdays.

All the action starts on the Unity blog.

We are kicking off the new {be inspired} challenge today.
Here is a peek at it.

Lots to love right???
I made 2 cards for this new challenge.

Did you see this week’s Stamp of the Week?
So, super cute!
I’m using the sketch from the challenge and 2 of the colors.
I popped up the stamped panel over one of my favorite backgrounds stamps – Hearts of Old.

– and –

I had to use the BRAND NEW monthly sentiment kit.
Can you believe this amazing kit is only $10 for this month only???
I’m using the colors again from this month’s challenge.  I think I got them all except the pink.
I forgot that one.  Oops.  I really meant to include it somewhere and forgot.

The flowers were colored with two colors of ink… first the yellow and then I used the corner of the orange ink to dab a little on top of the yellow before stamping.  The top two flowers are popped up as well.  To make my multicolored flowers easier to stamp, I cut away the leaves.

Gasp… I know.  Some people can’t handle cutting their stamps.  But if it makes it easier for me to stamp in different colors, I’m not shy about bringing out my scissors.  It works so nice too.  🙂

** COMMENT PRIZE **
Don’t forget to leave a comment on each blog today.
We’ll be giving away 3 prizes from comments left on the participating blogs.

That is all from me, head on over to the amazing RENEE next!!!!

  1. Thanks for showing us the new sentiment set. The flowers are stunning the way you inked them up. And sometimes I cut my stamps too, but hold my breath doing so. 🙂

  2. I really like your cards…thanks for the inspiration! I just might have to buy that sentiment set!

  3. I like how you cut apart the roses. I’ve been trying to do that when it works best for inking. A hard concept at first, but really, what does it hurt? Love the colors of your cards!

  4. It still scares me to cut apart my stamp….. eek! But your bravery pays off. Beautiful projects. TFS

  5. Your cards are great … I admire that you feel free to alter your stamps. It would make me twitch, but I love the results you got!

  6. Great cards! I really like the one created with the new sentiment kit! Thanks for making me want it even more!! TFS God bless!!

  7. Hello beautiful.. Loving your cards and the idea of cutting for even more ideas to use this stamp!!

  8. What a great idea to cut the leaves away so you can stamp just the flowers! Your cards are beautiful,

  9. OOoh, I don’t know if I have the nerve to slice the stamp apart… but I do love the look! You’ve done it so beautifully that I MAY consider doing that! I always love your simplicity and cleanliness of your cards 🙂

  10. These cards are just fabulous! I am all for cutting my stamps up to make things easier! Wat to go!

  11. Hi dear Lisa! I’m so sorry for being away for so long.. life was so busy and I find it so hard to catch up 😦 I have been following what you are creating though. These cards are wonderful!! Just love the colours, design and your style! They make me smile and wish I have more hours in a day to stamp more. Take care! {hugs}

  12. Great cards! Love the highlighted anchor on the first one, and I am impressed by anyone who cuts up their stamps. I don’t have the guts to do it

  13. Grrr…of course you used the stamp of the week…the one that is tempting me to join the SOTW, lol! LOVE THAT STAMP! And love the simplicity on it that gives the stamp so much attention. Thanks for sharing!

  14. All kinds of loveliness here – I am a big fan of your style! I agree about cutting apart the stamps if needed, and Unity stamps are so well made that I don’t worry about them falling apart – they just fit right back together if I want the whole image!

  15. First of all, what’s with all the monster avatars? LOL! Your cards are AMAZING and I have no idea what you’re talking about with the missing mojo. 😛 You’re still a super star cardmaker!

  16. Stamp cutting – once you take the leap you wonder why you didn’t before 🙂 Awesome! I can’t even decide which card I like best – the first is super cute & lovey, and the second is just so lovely. Fabulous sentiments!
